roger that,
Will get onto it.
Cheers.
No power??
Reset your timing to 19 degrees .. with todays shite unleaded fuel and your unknown compression ratio / squish etc you're better off retarding your ignition until you can sort the issue. Same with your jetting, get back to standard. You need to return everything to standard as far as possible to try and find the cause.
The quickest /easiest way to check it isn't a carb issue is to try to borrow a jetex thats known to work .... likewise for the stator . Take things one step at a time and eliminate things as you go.
It is the 200cc 22mm jetex you're using and not the 150cc version ..this has a different slide in it?

Hello mate.
i have allready put everything back to standard, filter and air scoop back on and original jets in the carb and it actually ran worse.
I have been wondering about the carb. According to the seller it's a for a 200cc but he said it would be fine on my 175 conversion. However i was told it would need the jets uprating to use on a 175 which i don't undertand!!
Anyway i finally got around to running it with the exaust off today and it ran much better. I was really surprised when i rode it up the street that it pulled well, there was still a bit of a stutter but in the short run i gave it, it was vastly improved. I was only a short run though, about 200 meters as the noise was horrendous! ( i still intend to retard it back to 19 deg though)
So i'm hoping this has been the problem.
Can anyone recommend an exahust to suit? ideally i would like something a bit more sporty than a clubman but doesn't cost a fortune.
Many thanks.

Evening folks.
For anyone who may be intrested i finally resolved the issue with the rough running.
It turned out to be the shonky old exhaust that i fitted to it! I've not got a ScooRs fitted and it runs much better, at last!
On a positive note i've learned a lot along the way so many thanks for the help and advice to those who contributed.
Cheers.
Muffster.
