General update!

Third of the way through this year rallys this weekend.

8 done 16 (at least) to go.
This year I decided to buy a garmin bike satnav to use just on my Lambretta, I did so for a few reasons besides the obvious. I wanted to see how many miles I actually clock up over a year and how many hours in the seat etc.

So far doing the following rallies:

5-6 March: Modrapheniacs, Dorset
25-28 March [Easter BH]: Whitby
9-10 April: Members’ Rally, Llangollen
23-24 April: South Downs Ride
29 April – 2 May [May Day BH]: Tenby
7-8 May: Flying 8 Balls Rally
13-14 May Borders rally france
21-22 May: Essex Rally

I've clocked up 2612 miles, Hit a max speed of 84mph, achieved a moving average of 47mph, overall average 30mph, been moving for 56 hours and stopped for 30 hours.
All but the last rally I have been two up.
As a stats geek I find this interesting. The Garmin satnav also records each trip which can be analysed which is also interesting.

Below is an example of some of the data it records, this is the trip to Darley Moor this morning to watch some scooter racing.

Over this time I have had a gear cable and throttle cable break and I destroyed a gearbox less than a week before the first rally.

The GT250 has been faultless as has the Kheper V3 I have been testing over the last 5 rallies.

Just seen the pictures of it on Facebook, absolutely stunning. Can't wait to see the build pictures and your experiences with it on the road. I'm getting more excited about this than a grown man should!

Garmin*

I'm using the Zumo 390, it comes with a cradle which also powers it. you can see it mounted on the last few videos ive posted on the right side of the legshield toolbox.
