We have also done 10 "wheel 4 stroke autos they are a nice conversion but the motors do not really offer any advantage over a lamby motor as the power they can develop is limited.

what people may have forgotten with regard to the SCOMADI is that back in 2006 it was developed as a scooter for mass production to a brief that had to be acceptable to Piaggio ie the use of certain components that are common to both the SCOMADI and other Piaggio scooters before they (piaggio) would approve supply of engines and other components. The Ride height is due to the supension that had to be fitted to give comparible supension performance to the GT vespa range.Another reason the scooter seems to be high at the back when at rest is the fact that the suspension is designed to have pre load so it attains its working height once the driver is in the saddle all motorcycles are designed this way . This removes the problem most lambys have that the nose sits high when the rider and passenger are seated the supension only actualy works through part of the range of the rear shock necesitating the fitment of the bump stop to the crank case. suspension travel on a lamby is governed by the space available between the carb manifold and the frame tube its physicaly impossible to gain any more ride height when some big carbs are fitted .With a std type manifold fitted the longer S2 shock can be used which is a common mod for long distance travel with a lot of gear.

it looks better with 10,s on it frank but that choice of saddle doesnt help it almost looks like its not down properley at the back , alot of scooters inc many custom ones are let down with saddles as is the gts range of scooters

Not responsible for the seat it was fitted by the scoots builder !
but again with reference to ride height it was dictated by the production parts we were reqd to use in order to be approved for engine instalation and to able to buy engines direct from Piaggio. They wont just sell you an engine they have to inspect the instalation in a prototype vehichle .Our initial prototypes were at the pontedera piaggio factory for several weeks were they were inspected and had to undergo road testing with regard to chassis rigidity ,suspension travel. engine temp within the body work and loads of other stuff. They even had the frame scanned so it could be tested virtually for flexing before they aggreed to sell us the engines and they didnt do it for free either all this had to be payed for !
