What piston was used in the end? Standard with fat rings? Would like to know, and would like to know Mick's thoughts on how it turned out and any changes he would make on the next one, ie, reposition ring pegs, angle of ports etc.
This really has been one of the best threads ever, and with most guys having one of these cast cylinders knocking around, I don't think £140 for Mick to tune it and match to casings is a bad price at all when compared to the £300+ kits on the market. Yes, it would need careful running in being cast, and it won't cool like an ally cylinder, but this really is a cheap option for a boost in performance.
