Best coating for new exhaust?

Thinking of this for a Vega exhaust which isn't in good enough condition to justify the expense of chroming. How does it last?hendy wrote:I got mine nickel plated for £50 but I think I got it without vat.

These photos show it after only about 100 miles, which is enough to show that the heat doesn't kill it like zinc is affected.
Nickel is certainly better for rust protection than chrome and is used under chrome on hydraulic cylinders for that reason.
Not as blingy as chrome which you either prefer or you don't. Yellows slightly on the downpipe but I don't think you can make it out on these (rather sh1t) photos.
