Got the answer from Beedspeed: they say their chrome hubs are Uni. So i assume there's an indian Uni too? Anyone any experience with Indian Uni's?

There's only an Indian one:

But, from my experience, these hubs are OK and I have them on both my Lambrettas. Some parts from India are good.

Given the price, I'm guessing that the chrome finish is, how shall we say, liable to be peeling off within the year. But, I may be wrong :D

That's a really clean break. Was something rubbing on the hub?

I've had hubs that were machined down and never broke one like that (on a TS1). Broke a few splines but not the whole face.

Surely a rear hub and rim combo all in one is a viable product? Or am I a tw@7? Expensive? Probably, but I spent nearly £700 pounds on a gearbox that broke. (Fixed now of course) And check your gear selectors for wear. These are considered a consumable.
