Dan, Well done with the torque increase exactly where you need it!
What are your final port durations? And what about the jetting set up of your VHSH?
On my VHSH30CS I realised it wasn't running richer no matter how big the main jet, the DQ268 and K21 needle were not opening far enough at WOT. I had a spare K3 needle (1.5mm tip) so put that in on top clip and it was a bit spluttery at low rpm but high rpm jetted in well with a 160 main jet. Now really strong at high rpm again. I'm thinking a K31 should fix the low rpm running. Very interested to see what you have in yours

Looks like you got a good result there.
Did you try lengthening the pipe with a sleeve?

Was this jetting ever confirmed? I ask as I too am in the situation of trying to jet a 30 VHSH and have found that many of the recommended needle and atomiser combos become a restriction to main jet flow, hence some places recommend a 130-140 main, whilst others are recommending 170+. It is the larger MJ recommendations that I'm finding are limited by needle tip/atomiser.
I'm happy to keep plugging away/adjusting/testing myself, however, it is interesting to see what others have already done.
