More progress.

Weird one off lamp like the one fitted to the original. Mine is a bit clunkier because its based on a modern H4 halogen bike light rather than a crappy glow in the dark 50s number that's pretty but bloody hopeless.

Also decided to go with a classic bike style handlebar choke.

The scoot is now back in my garage after all the tricky bits have been done.

Its going to be a tourer so a place to put luggage is a must.

This Series 2 sprint rack looks like it will fit if I lower the back light by half an inch or so.

Got the rack on but its bloody tight. Aesthetically everything could do with a couple of extra mm clearance. The rack is just a gnat's cock away from the rear light at one end and the nuts at the back of the tank at the other. Still better that than not have anywhere to put a tent.

The rear light unit needs attacking with a file too. It doesn't fit properly flush all the way round. I'll have to be a bit careful though as the metal is pretty thin around the hole for the number plate light

I was planning on the same type of rack, you can either turn it horizontal or even fit it to the front legshield. The other idea I had was fitting it to the battery side panel.

All bolted on. Moved the light down a bit, welded up the old holes and drilled some more. Fits with at least couple of mm to spare

If you cut off the bottom brackets and had them welded at top edge looks like the bolts on the petrol tank extension would line up nicely too no need to move light or make anymore holes [WINKING FACE]
