Surely your right leg will be going up and down with the suspension? It would feel strange cranked over with all your weight on the peg with it moving up and down.

The exhaust was fitted in position when the measure up for rear set mods was done , so it does all fit

Would that be strong enough to stand constant use, I wouldn't think the chaincasing has that much strength?

Turn On, Tune In, Cop out!

I dont see why not. the idea is copied off a CCM vintage motocrosser, where they stand on the pegs and the mount wasn't as beefy as the mount i put on the chaincase. Anyway time will tell, if it dont work i'll do summat else :)

As for the position and it moving up and down. Well rear sets were ok for me 20 years ago so might be a bit more uncomfortable with ageing legs but its the look i wanted for this project and yes there is a small amount of up and down travel for the right peg but its not far from the engine mount but lower than i could get from an off the shelf rear set.

In the process of trying to do something different there may be a need to revise the plan but sticking with it for now ;)
