are you experiencing a "wet" plug situation where as the spark tracks down the most direct route when the pug is in the head, but seams to spark normally in your hand?ive had this on a similar spec ts1,changing the plug would cure the problem for about 20 miles then re-occur

STATOR PLATE! most probably the black box/pick up
have repaired a couple ,last one going to beatsugar, the stator had come loose wearing the black box/pick up,it would run fine untill stopped, then wouldn't spark, but all readings were fine with multimeter :|

Fires up again after 2 or 3 minutes without changing anything, then runs for another 2 to 3 miles before stopping again. He tried a new CDI yesterday and it got him home about 8 miles without cutting out. I'll report back later if it's run ok today.
So far all the problems have gone now he's fitted the new CDI.

Well i read it as a simple fun question, not a dealer trying to get free help FFS. A mate last week in France had a similar problem. Changed all the electrics and then found the reed valves (i have no idea what they are or what they do  )had disintergrated and the small screws had come out.........Before the weekend i would have said it was the stater plate as i had similar symptons on the way too lincoln last year.

I don't see any problem with asking help to diagnose here. We are in the Lambretta tech section, no?
