I had forgotten how addictive sprinting is.

I should have emptied my legshield toolbox and taken the spare wheel off but I had not long added a nice flower to the spare wheel (which you can just see hanging on) so left it on, not to mention lean the jetting off, blow the tyres up and spend the last few weeks on a diet. Road class in my eyes is just that, take it up the track exactly how you RODE it there :)

good fun even though it was only just over 1/8th of a mile and good to speak to a few sprinters after so long again :)

compiling some road footage from the weekend now :)

As you can see from the video of the trip there, mine wasn't set up for sprinting, just went on as its ridden on the road.

What gearing were you pulling ? Sounds like you never made it into fourth before the finish line ? G.

4.7 still, like I said, it ant set up for that print distance. 71mph with that gearing in 3rd is revving to around 9000 but the clutch had a bit of slip which you can hear in the video when ridding there at a few points so it was probably revving to over 9500 as I went over the line. you can also hear I missed 4th gear as I went over the line so can hear it rev well over 10k rmp lol DOH

anyone running 3% in their GT200?

Hi, this is my first kit. Previously I've only ever run 4% Motol 2T 100% synthetic oil in the petrol. If I go to 3% do I have to modify the jetting? I am not concerned about cost of oil. Are there any other benefits?

run 4% due to the boyson ports, you need to lubricate the big end!

So no going lower than 4% then, even after the running in?

A few people have asked me what set up I ran on the fun sprint...

it was the GT250
fran race exhaust
30mm phbh
4.7 gearing

running very very rich.

good evidence that a 30mm phbh can give decent power, however im now intrigued to see how well it would go with a bigger better carb tbh
