what we do is put a couple of coats of laquer over the basecoat before the airbrush work then that is flatted down so the final coats of laquer over the artwork will key to the panel... also if the airbrush work goes wrong its just a case of flatting it off the laquer rather than having to redo all the basework

I see the laquer is flattened back and not the basecoat its makes sence now thats for sharing.
