j1ms, apart from shortening the manifold and fitting a flange, i,ve just made it match the reed block better, its a bit of a miss match rearly, and knife edge the leading edge of the rib that runs across the top of the reed block, some lads have removed this altogether but as the reed block is solid under it i thought it best to use it to direct the gas to the petal,s, and then give everthing a nice smooth surface. Thats all ive done, just tips i,ve picked up of a good mate and off some of the lads that post on here that are good enough to share thier experience and knowlege.

Hi eibargum, have you got the pics in your computer to put here?
I want to do some job in my RB20 manifold and want to see other jobs to have an idea of what to do.
With the gasket fitted i have this one:

I am thinking to quit metal in the green marks and polish inside the center (green lines). Then if i can (i must ask to a friend that know to weld aluminium) i want to short the manifold to better clearance, but i dont know how much.
Thanks for your help!

Yeh thats right i removed the bridge from mine as well, pretty sure you can remove a small amount from the edges as well.
I know that some people have put a knife edge on the inside of the bridge piece. Hopefully someone will be able to post a pic for you soon

Sorry i dont have the pics on my computor, i dont know how  , i did have them on my mobile but not any more. I do still have one of the finnished job i could send to your mobile if you PM me your mobile number. If your going to cut it to weld a flange on be aware that you can change the angle as well as shortening it, this can give you even more clearence, the ready made ones that are for sale havent done this  . Make sure you knife edge the top side of the centre rib and match it to your gaskit and you,ll not go far wrong. Just a point of intrest, going to the brid rally last weekend my RB 230 returned 50+ MPG, the same as the girlfriends Mugello 200, didnt go above 60 mph though. regards and good luck with it.

You dont need pics to show you were to cut and weld the flange on as it will be different on different scoots, the best way is to remove the toolbox to allow you to see were your panal is furthest from the carb. I angled mine different to my mates because my barral is further back than his which made the pipe from my power jet tight up against the engine mount, so i angled it forward, i also tipped it backwards slightly because the shape of the Mikuni 30mm PJ allows you too [ the angle of the float bowl is different to the carb body] IMO it would be easyer for you to fit a flanged carb rubber on your carb and offer it up to the manifold while its still fitted to the bike to give your self some idea of the angle of the cut, take less off than you think at first you can allways cut it shorter if needed. :D .
