Yes on the information given.Rs fruitbat wrote:Jazzy wrote:Here's another variable for you,
Bike 1. 16 miles per litre at 4%
bike 2. 8 miles per litre at 2%
which is getting the most oil through the engine?
Both engines are having the same amount of oil through the engine because bike 1 is at 4% but does 16miles and bike 2 although at 2% only covers 8miles , am I correct ?
Regardless of the mileage a 4% mix will put more oil through the engine than a 2% mix, if it is the same amount of fuel/MPG for both bikes.Jazzy wrote:Here's another variable for you,

the figures are miles/ltr the point being the difference in fuel economy having an effect on amount of oil going thru the engine.mick1 wrote:Regardless of the mileage a 4% mix will put more oil through the engine than a 2% mix, if it is the same amount of fuel/MPG for both bikes.Jazzy wrote:Here's another variable for you,

As the 4% mix is doing double the miles of the 2% then on top of the higher % it is also running for longer, therefore using more oil.
Or did you mean Bike 1 was 2% and 16 miles and bike 2 4% and 8 miles ?
