It wasnt in its final position the nuts wernt done up there was a few mm of clearance theses were from scootrs and the bottom one was made tofit the earlier type case so some cutting was needed
tbh I cant remember the stud lengths I just fittec what i had to hand it looks like one was longer then the other by the looks of the nuts fitted

I think they're the same size as the chaincase studs.By the way the bottom guide is there to prevent the chain hitting the case as it wears and gets slack,I always use the standard bottom guide as that encloses the chain and prevents it from hitting the bottom of the top chain guide if it does get worn and slack.

Good point, I'll have a look at the condition of the original bottom guide. The chaincase studs I've got spare seem a little long, but I'm sure I can pack them out with a washer or two under the Nyloc.
