the 26mm E is for p2 - not suitable for a T5

Pinasco do a "racing" version for T5 - SI 2/26 GR

All the fuel lines are enlarged and it has a cosa size needle 5.2

Ive not heard a good word about the bowl extension

going down the vacuum fuel pump route involves drilling and tapping the casings at the rear to insert connection point - its engine out and casings apart

ive done a few malossi 172 and never had fuelling issues - both using a standard piaggio tap and a spaco 24mm

look to the easy wins first as people have already advised

You can tap into the carb manifold I have works great

/\ /\ /\ fair point if using a big carb/manifold set up

the OP was about fitting a pump to an SI carb - in this case you would have to use the casing.

well, ive put the floatbowl extension on the lads carb, shortened his petrol pipe, and drilled out his carb banjo, and drilled the hole in the carb to the main jet stack, starts first kick still, and no sign of flooding, see how it goes. personally, I run a 28mm phbh dellorto on a malossi 172 T5 with JL pipe and MMW cylinder head, engine and kit has been together six years, only new rings fitted in that time, thrashed the kahunas off it everywhere, and its never needed a fuel pump, but it has got a far larger floatbowl than a SI carb.
