Barbour international (a proper NATO issue one , not the fashion one) with about ten coats of wax, and post office trousers. when all else fails, a post office storm 3/4 length coat to go over the top. with the button in fur liner in the Barbour, its toasty warm as well. got an Invicta all in one tank suit that zips up the side that comes in handy as well, had that a good few years.Catmandu wrote:If you know anyone who works for Royal Mail, ask if they can get you some of their waterproof trousers. Awake old thread!........
I need lightweight waterproof overtrousers that pack up small. My current pair are probably great for walking about in but have slits for access to pockets and so leak when you're sat on a bike for a long time (even after the Mrs sewed them up). A mate works for the post office and found that his work ones were the same. Great when out on his rounds but no good when sat on a bike. A lot of the Army surplus ones look the same.
Bike stuff has no pocket holes etc but as soon as you add the word "motorcycle" to a product, the price doubles.
Any ideas? They have to pack up pretty small as they're for my trip to Croatia in June and space is limited.

The current issue multi terrain patern lightweight rain suits compress really small there fullyzipped at the sides mine haven't leakedbut immore chairbourne than airboure I have used them on the ped over the winter with success they fold up to 150x100x75 mm approx

I'd have thought that zip would let in water.
