Maybe it produces more power at 4,000 rpm than an RB250. Half of the scooter riders I know don't go above 5,000 revs anyway.
Yes it's quite strange really the bhp thing. I'd of thought with such low figures, it wouldn't have any kind of torque full stop, but alas it does. The kind of rider you refer to, perfectly explains Niks style. I just think he thought it would probably be around the 12 bhp figure to be honest. However If it will pull him at 55/60 all day to euro Lambretta this year, travel around the uk two up pulling better on hills than his old factory 4 and achieve the fuel figures it's claimed to do, then he's got the right kit for him. If not, it's 500 plus quid of kit and a dyno session up the pan. Will keep you posted.
