Cheers Darrell....i've heard/read so much about this event over the past few days that i wanted to see the official results for myself. I wish i could have been there to see Jimmy winters cap the tonne on a full body GP. Correct me if I'm wrong (and I often am)....but is he the first official record holder of doing that at a sprint event on a fully road legal/non-race scooter??

The speeds wthat all of you guys were hitting are phenomenal.....104, 106, 118!!! Awesome.

I'm hoping to have a crack at this next year, but i fear that by the time i get my slow-arse into gear, you guys will be topping 120mph and i'll be an 'also-ran' at the bottom of the pack! lol

The results certainly make interesting reading too, but I'm a bit unsure on a couple of things?

1) One of the time cards which has been posted for Jimmy say he did a 104mph run.......but i cant see that on the official result? (see middle card on right in pic below)

2) Why do the fastest times for the Grp6 and Eric's RB all have similar/sequential results (eg - 117.7 118.6 118.1 & 104.8 104.9 104.8 etc) but the SuperMonza has only one run at 105.6 and most other runs are 5mph below that? Was it a particular setting Jimmy used for that one run, or weather conditions? I'm curious?

none of the results are official as such shall we say there recorded times as done on that day, he does run some official records events involving a 2 way pass

Jimmy did the very first run of the day that the computer recorded and is i believe the first man to crack 100 on a full bodied scoot (well done that man) so he reached that ultimate milestone, he up-geared 1 tooth on rear from mondays 97.9 best and to all our surprise posted 105.6 which we discussed at track its viability (1 tooth =3mph) and we had stronger tailwinds in the afternoon, he even rang charlie about it who categorically told him it wasnt possible on that gearing and rpm set up, so as Trevor at straightliners kept telling us "if in doubt back it up with another run" i think the 104 must be another error on the human ticket writing, we had one on the group 6 as mentioned before
i think all the settings on the super monza were the same all day it ran on the very edge pinking like crazy as it went over the line with it leaned out on the powerjet settings and the det counter permanently flashing with egt values up at 1400+, this is sprinting/racing though and the type of settings needed to set records etc, nice thing is though that he can turn it back a full turn on the power jet and change the ignition map and head off on a rally in perfect safety

hey if your rounding up 118.6 = 119 104.9 = 105

I think the 104 should read 140 and belongs to Dodge who was doing 140s all day long on his back wheel (not a Lammy I might ad )

Yeah Dodge is a star, 175mph on the back wheel.
Other highlights included 'Tinkerbell' doing 243mph just 0.7mph short of regaining her World Record for fastest women on a bike!
The young lad doing 50mph on his mono-wheel.
The worlds fastest lawnmower.

It was good to see the scoots getting a lot of interest, the bloke from Holeshot Racing spent more time with us than with his four 250mph hayabusas, he's threatening to build a scoot for next year.

These events are good fun. Next one is Monday the 17th of March 2014...get building.

ive already started on my new top speed / sprint project , i now have a date to aim for.

I'm just going out to mow the lawn then I'll be sticking an RB250 in the mower. I'd better put new bearings in my roller skates too so I can hang on.

reading through this with interest,nice reply from darrell about the sm,could be human error to say it was doing 105.6.

erics was consistent over 100,wonder what would of happened if he'd changed his gearing for 'an extra tooth',lol
