The response is quite mixed, No one seemed to bat an eye lid when Memphis Belle started winning trophies at every rally, and yet they were part of the carpet bombing of thousands of innocent civilians
Great debate though, as for not riding it any where,it will be on the road. I got very good feedback when it was in the custom show at Brid last year, not a trophy winner due to the theme but the judges loved it.

I thought the Focke Wulf 190 was the best fighter narrowly beating the Mitsubushi Zero-Sen?
I prefer the Me262 schwalbe!

The FW190 was a low level fighter really and couldn't compete with Spitfire's or Mustang's at higher altitudes. Hitler threw everything into producing the G version of the Messerschmitt for use against bomber formations as a result of which it became more heavily armoured restricting its performance.

tell you one thing if you take it to Germany on a rally you'll either be arrested very quickly for displaying banned symbols or get a rammed off the road before you,ve got very far!!!

blah blah blah :fb: lighten up :fb:
swastika banned in most european countries, so wouldn't even get it on the ferry
As for the spitfire and hurricane, they were both very slow and under powered....... until a lonely german pilot in his fokke wolf 190 landed at Pembray airfield in i think 1940, the brits re-painted it, flew it, and couldn't believe the performance, so they stripped it and nicked the technology which became the later marques of the spit.

The germans considered their Messy-schmitt vespas to be state of the art and drove to rallies around europe drinking all the other clubs beer. Then one day a Lone GP200 landed at a german scooter club, the germans could beleive the torque and top speed of the hairy british disc brake equiped rally Ts1 thoroughbred. soon the Meesy-schmitts had knicked all the lammies technological advances.Sadly although they still make PX's they no longer make Lambrettas and history is written by the winners. :fb:
