I am planning on having mine so the spring in the carb wouldn't pull the lever back; then if I thought it was running a bit lean, I could add a bit more fuel by opening the choke, maybe a little or all the way, depending upon performance. It could also be useful in setting up the carb, as I could tell the effects of a bit more fuel at whatever throttle position...

you've done most of the graft already, fit it and see how you like it, so make it so it can unbolt, leaving the rest of the bodywork as is. Mine is like that, I fitted it for a trip with the intention of removing it again, and just using on longer rides. That was May last year, I have never taken it off...

Been on with Jarv tonight about this superb looking Lambretta.

I'm almosty in two minds whether to go ahead with the spray job on my LI or just throw it back together.

It really is a great piece of work with wee trick bits that make it stand out above gleaming custom Lambrettas.

I'd love to see this beside Jarv's Lambretta at the Mersea Rally. ;)

thats my favourite new/old bike of the year so far!!!! ive just rescued an original GP200 80's rally bike from its middle aged owner.last taxed in 1990.horrible tatty red/green/gold design and im loving getting the mechanicals spot on while leaving the finely aged exterior.its the new metal flake.
