Try an Indian flywheel and I dare say it will be cured.The last AF one I had that did the same ,I tried raising and lowering the pick up box to no avail so change to a lightened Indian one and problem sorted.

Mark, I've ordered a lightened SIL flywheel, one with the boss welded too. If it isn't the flywheel that's the problem, then I need another for my next project anyway :bigsm:

your not using one of those poxy car type silicone HT leads are you per chance ?

I've replaced the flywheel with a lightened Indian one and the problem has gone away. I will take this up with AF although, as I bought the flywheel ages ago and don't have the receipt, I doubt I'll get anywhere.
