I've got a cutdown TV 200 that was done in the 80's and just finishing a cutdown SX for the summer

This was my transport around south london when i worked there in the mid nineties,,,,,,,,the perfect tool for carving up London traffic
Rode it to Holiday in holland and german border rally 1996 (my back is still sore)
Engine was a MB 225 SUZUKI PISTON PORTED MOTOR,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I WAS LOVIN IT

What was the idea for using LD petrol tanks at the time? I've seen them on quite a few cut downs. Just for the "sprinter" look?

yeah the ld tank was almost obligatory for cutdown g6 inspired scoots in 80's and early 90's
