well it think its possibly that the leds are red rather than white(that old law of physics thing where only red light passes red glass so red light through blue glass don't work too well) ......... and I'm sure that old computer that was powering it is dc

will try swap out two reds for white ones

i will refer the right honourable gentleman to the pics of the building site that is my house shortly (wall to plaster right now)

and im short a few body parts too (leggies/rear boards)
