No, not at all, I was only questioning the theory that because a clutch works well in one 40bhp motor that it goes in hand that it will also work just the same, and just as well, in another 40bhp motor even though it may have different torque, number of gears, and indeed a completely different motor with a totally different delivery of power, whether it's a Lambretta, Suzuki, Kawasaki etc. etc.

I love these modern bike clutches, I have one of Richards Granturismo 7 plate clutches in my TS1, it replaced my Foxhat, mainly because it has a featherlight action on the lever, and it's great and I'm sure this one is too, I'd certainly entertain it over any clutch that uses Lambretta plates and even SSC and LTH.

I never meant to question the quality of this clutch and apologise if it seemed that way.

a 5 plate is going to be thrashed within an inch of its life by al and chris !!!! , yours is all done just got to have one more check then its in the post mate !!

These are all valid points Soulsurfer,anything that's
made needs testing and used on the road to find it's strengths andweakneses.

i have to stop working on my bike at present time because of family troubles but will be finished fitting on monday by cs engineering,all that is left is fitting parts into chaincase and fitting the case to the engine. lee may know the weight but i know it is lighter than original if thats any help.i hope to be able to test it this week thoroughly.

not yet, due to a death in the family i was sidetracked :oops: :oops: , but we are nearly back on track with version 2 of the 6 plate one ;) . i believe the 5 plate versions are out there fine ;) but im being very awkward and insisting on a 6 plate version because my motor is very powerful :P .
