can anyone remeber the bloody nice 'i feel the need' dtc gp custom street racer?
it had a nice dtc paintjob, when it was featured in scootering, also lots of chrome and a ts1 engine.
one of my mates got that bike in the mid 90s.
the chromed parts where already gone, and the paintjob was also rotten and flakey.he blew the engine up after two days, and sold the bike on.
but today he regreds it,because not trying to save the paint job.
what happend to 'dexters hypertonic'
was for me a breaker when i saw it the first time in a german magazin and thought, humm would have one,one day...

there are still afew Macca paint jobs around our area in garages belonging to guys who did the rallies in the 80's, many of which feature in photos in magazines of the time. A lot of these were laid up after the 125cc law was changed and CBT came in. some of the guys i drink with still claim they'll get them back on the road.they'll never paint with them, their kind of like owning an old painting or a piece of art, i guess we'll just have to see who dies first. if i can just outlast the hoarders...... :fb:

The Dexters scooter was owned by Dave Barrett who now runs Surrey Scooter Services. The scooter is now done "Coca Cola Blak"

Nice, is that a Geiger inspired paintjob? Don't suppose a guy called Andy Marshall sprayed it?
No my mate did it 12 years ago and it still looks the same 8-)

uuhh, that was a kick in the balls...
really loved that one,but times changed,so do taste.

another one springs in mind:pills, thrills and bellyaches.
was sold in the mid 90s to the south of germany, where the new owner road it for a coupel of months on the road, and then used it as a racing scooter.
the bike is still a group6 lamy and owned by lth marco, who had it at the moment in retierment,as he is more keen thrashing a flac primi round the courses.
but nothing left over from the custom.
ecxept for madness creations, this topic is really sad and fustrating...
