I stopped selling airstops years ago after numerous problems. Soulad brought his engine up to mine 2 weeks a go and built some Lammy wheels here. I swapped him a Kings tyre for his airstop as it was for his front wheel and had the longer valve likely to catch.
Built a wheel using the airstop to go to brid and it had deflated within 5 miles. Yet to see why but I can push the tyre wall in enough to see I hadn't nipped the tube with the rim.
I've had them deflate quicky and slowly before and nearly always where the valve is fixed into the tube. Wheteher this is because its in the wrong position I don't know but don't have the same probem with Kings tubes.

Kings are very good. The picture from sandy scooters looks like the same thing.

I've got plenty of the Mypol ones in stock that have the offset from centreline valve to suit Lambretta rims.

I must admit I have used Airstops in the past without any issues. But definitely the Mypols are the way to go.

I had Airstops with the 90 degree valve. The front one was ripped off the tube as it was hitting the bolt on the inside of the forks when braking. When bike was on the stand and the wheel turned the valve was well clear of the bolt. Nearly had a nasty off but managed to get it under control. Spoiled my keks that day :shocking: . Have replaced them with Airstops with the 45 degree valve and it is fine. However I think I will get me some of those Mypols. Is the valve at a 45 or 90 degree angle on the Mypols????

55 degrees and the valve is situated 6mm from the centre line of the tube.

Just one word of caution. I was told of one Mypol tube that had deflated after only recently being fitted. It was attributed to corrosion around the valve area. I use Mypol's and mine have been fine. But it is still worth checking before you fit them.

Just get my Mypols from JustLambretta - fit and feel much better - with the airstops I was fighting with the valve to keep it through the hole while inflating.
