great looking scoot and i like the SIL badge at the front good to keep the scoots origins intact

Stunning scooter. You could put a Vespa 50 engine in it and it would still be one of the coolest scooters about.

It's that design and paintwork that started my obsession with GP's to the point where I've sold my 65 Italian ( as if the country of origin is relevant :lol: ) for a 1976 Indian GP 200 and I will be replacing the Innocenti front badge for a SIL one :mrgreen:

i've wanted a S type for the past 25yrs and finally took the plunge

thanks for the positive remarks,
i didn't want to try and pretend it was italian hence the sil badges etc
i managed to do a bit more
rebuilt motor & got it in frame
just cabling and wiring then she should be done

When i first saw this thread and looked at the frame and panels.. i thought God that's Fookin awful... :oops:

Now its finished it really is a nice contrast 8-) Just goes to show only a fool knocks a unfinished job!`

most of the s types i remember from 81,82,83 were W,X AND Y REG` I NEVER SAW THAT MANY ITALIAN ONES TBH SOME STILL HAD INDICATORS ON :o TS200 i love the gratuitous GTS shot us auto boys gotta stick together you on the GTS forum ?
