By the way, wasn't joking, that was a smooth bit. Sometimes the corrugations were so bad that it was like hitting brick wall.
Just after that video, a 4WD came round the corner on my side of the road, forced me over, I hit gravel, came off and broke my collar bone.
I was 50km from the nearest help. No choice. Pick up scooter. Start it. ride 50km to road house with back pack (Containing tools and spares).... then faint from the pain.

The road houses, I remember them well after driving a Datsun 120 y coupe through the red centre, happy happy days

Too true.
I was the only person not independently wealthy or retired. Fortunately, as I was raising money for charity, the company gave me time off. Still cost me a small fortune to do though..... but was fun. Well worth doing.
