Thats a shame that...nothing dodgy you understand Ian/Mouse just that the DVLA now put a red mark against mileage oddments and on an HPI check it comes up potentially dodgy.. , had it with my car one where it was obvious the Mot tester made a mistake on the mileage as the service backed it up but now the DVLA have put a black mark against it which could be awkward when I change it..

BTW how do you power the speedos..? do you need a battery feed guys..?

No plans to add a feature to alter the total mileage. There will be some procedure at DVLA for noting a change of speedometer even in a car.

Speedos break and need replacing in all vehicles. DVLA will know what to do. If you are worried put your old speedo in a box and show it to any buyer. Most people who know scooters will know the mileage readings are nonsense. I ran my T5 for about 8 months with no speedo as I got sick of mending it.

As far as I know the speedo has a small internal battery to remember setting etc. Then I think it can take a power feed from AC or DC.
We've done a lot of work on the voltage input side as the first few prototypes were getting zapped and it turned out the lambretta system sometimes lets through tiny spikes of up to 50volt! A bulb can handle that but instant death for sensitive electronics.

This is the Dactek one. Not finished yet, but will have a white face and black writing.
Temp gauge, water or EGT. Rev counter. speedo and fuel gauge.
Price around £75
Works fine and can use a standard speedo cable.

From talking to Mark it's looking unlikely for a series 1/2 one, much smaller demand compared to S3. Never say never though.

I was there when you phoned. Phil didn't say "jump the queue" - it sounded more like something like "those bloody two".

We've been looking at the trailtech stators, they are very nice but you're up against the usual thing of flywheel tapers and fans etc.

looks like ill be going back to grip filling a fiat strada dash to my series 1 headset then
