expansion / clubman hybrid?

I've got an RS clubman that I bought from Lozmondo a year or two ago. The tail pipe wasn't in very good condition and there were one or two minor rattles inside. So after cutting it open and sorting out the baffles, the original tail pipe has been cut off and a VW cone extension added. I'll post some pictures later. The remade exhaust will be fitted to a standard-ish GP200 later this week...

I hope Mark or Darrel are not upset by me posting this but this is a dyno run of an rt kit running an MBD clubman. The clubman is not for everybody but for those that like them here is one on a MBD set up that will p155 on a lot of ts1s (mine included) and a few RBs and keep the retro look and sound.

The dotted line is the MBD clubman and the other is an af clubman. 24bhp and just shy of 18 lbs of torque is healthy.

i have a clubman and a spare expansion (jl3 ) i would have thought that this has been tried before but what would be the expected outcome if i grafted the front of a jl3 to the body of a clubman to make it a fully tapered clubman.

it would not have the reflection cones in still so would it result in just a better flowing clubman and a load of bad welding?

Have a word with Mark B about his expansion Clubman, seems to work a treat, he may even make you one, if you ask nicely !

I heard a while ago they were producing a new 'Clubman'. So if it's ready I hope they let us all know as I'm certainly interested in one, if it's the right price
