Regarding what is or isn't "original" it isn't as straightforward as we sometimes think. A workmate of mine bought a TV200 brand new when they first came out and it was orange and black. I had an unrestored SX200 that was green and white. I've also seen a period photo of a dealers with a row of new Lambrettas all painted differently.

They may have left the factory all white but many were painted as soon as they arrived in the UK, before they went on sale.

PS: Bloody nice scoot you have there. Did the person you got it from have any idea what it was worth?
Meus Lambretta est non infractus. Is est quietus.

The scooter came from Martin, the first scooter he found was a TV200 frame with a GP200 engine, someone offered him £250 for it but he did not sell it as he was holding it for me as he knew I wanted a TV200.
I sold the frame for him for £1000 and he sold the forks and discs for £350, he kept the engine. He couldn't believe how much he found.......

The TV200 that I have I paid £3000 as it was all I had in my scooter kitty, I told him he could get more for the scooter and I believe someone else did offer more but he wanted me to have it..........good friends don't come around that often and still......I miss him dearly.....Rip buddy....
