What do you want from the engine? you've said the budget is limitless? have you ridden somthing owned by a mate and its somthing that you're looking for?? there are so many shops out there that can offer such a wide range of specification. What about the likes of MRB or JB T. I've had one from each and i'll go back everytime i want a new toy!
Got anotherone being built now by JB, for a new chassis project. TS1 Rally Tour 230cc, £2200 with carb and pipe. bolt in and off i go. ordered it last week, pick it up tuesday!

cheer gpmatt, 2200 sound good stuart @ 100mphlambrettaclub qouted 2800
for the complete rb250 which doest sound bad and they will do 90+ a bit more
cash and a bit more mph, i have heard all good stuff about ts1 but i would really
like to go the rb route might be the wrong route but this is scootering and its a
learning curve granted an expensive one
but on a plus note i will be spending more than that on my water vespa engine,
you cant take it with you

come to terms with it casper or be disapointed, you will not be doing 90-100mph on a road going scooter
if you realy want to do 90mph then go for the dac its 40bhp the rb is a 25bhp engine which is way off

my rb did 87 on the mad mile in surrey on david blythes gps and was dyno"d at 28 bhp and im not as slim as i once was

------but---- it has plenty of issues -it runs too hot,without an eye on the egt i am sure i would have melted the piston or somesuch damage.having had a few different engines i have come to the conclusion that you cant beat a well set up ts1 or rt---(only my view though

)
