I've only just come back to the scene this last year, but I'm blown away just how much fettling and modification is needed to get aftermarket engine parts up to a fit standard to use - and I'm not talking about cheap eBay rubbish either!
well looks like some things will help. firstly the 225 needs to be run on a 60mm stroke crank and if you look in the scooter center koln catalogue there are some good recomendations there.
i recently took it to replay scooters and had the delly carb changed to a tm24v mikuni running through a breath easy remote filter and had an advance retard unit fitted. on ithere own these improved things greatly.
i also fitted a b race stealth pipe.
the combination of all these things took the 12bhp to 17bhp
it still hits a rev limiter at 6500 rpm and so the 60mm stroke crank is the next step. these are not 100% bad but the 60mm crank is assentual and so dont make the mistake of not fitting one, the kit will not work properly without one.
