i think yours may have had a bolt screwed too far in. i have my horn casts done for example so i can carry a sparewheel holder on the threads and they are very thin but have not cracked.

you just have to make a judgement yourself i guese but the way i see it if its going to brake then i want it to happen in the workshop not the m25 so i do go ott sometimes.

I bought one earlier this year, it was a bit cheaper as the £ hadn't taken a dive then :roll:

Coaster looked at your link regarding helicoil kits take it the one you listed of E Bay will do the Exhaust studs on the Casing side is there one on Quickfast for the 6mm casing side stud repair as well ie what size ??

This is an M6 kit, it's only £6.99 but I'm not sure if the pitch is right it says 1mm, anyone know?
