Multi spline shouldn't come loose and rotate like that but I wonder about the wear marks half way along the hub splines .. is its the same setup as the other hubs with a specific hub cone?

Splined hub shouldn't need a cone - think Vespa rear hub though it has a surer way of preventing the nut coming loose. It's usually torqued to 55-65 lbft.

The recommended torque setting on a normal set up is 203NM or 150lbft but this is to compress the hub taper onto the cone.

I have had great help from the dealer, actually picked up the phone and called me.

I have been missinformed on the torque value, and as some have pointed out its similar to a vespa and they reccomend the same value on this system.

New parts on the way, free of charge.

Like I said, Im pretty sold on the system and it felt rock solid and after speaking to the dealer I`m (and they) are convinced that this is what was wrong.

I used 50nm, otherwise they were pretty baffeled as to why this would happen.
