There seems to be slight differences in the length of the rear shocks. So if you put one that's a bit longer, then add the spacer nut the whole thing may be too long. You could take out the spacer nut and refit to see if that helps.

If you've taken the fuel hose off the carb then sometimes you can get an air bubble in the line which doesn't want to go away... I put a rag over the filler and blow into the tank, that usually forces any bubble out.

Petrol tap on and off old pe range had the reserve. Shock wise get a yps and add the longer bolt on top ime 19 stone and never had a issue.
