The story I heard,wether its right or wrong,I'm not sure,is that the later Specials were "Golden Specials"or"Silver Specials"because that year was the year that Innocenti launched the SX150 and rather than buy the Specials,which were basically the same as the SX150 people were buying the SX and not the Specials,so they painted them either all gold and called them Golden Specials or all silver and called them Silver specials just so that people would buy them thinking that they had got a "limited" production run of scooters.
