I thought I'd give my new headlight reflector a quick polish with Autosol while I was assembling it. I don't recommend it, it took the silvering completely off.

Never use solvol autosol on anything exept alloy and stainless,its an abrasive.I always use Turtle wax on all my chrome and paintwork.

I managed to get a new pattern reflector back for glass. Not 100% as good fit as my original but will do, better than bining the original glass front. One of the complete chrome back and front types.
