Well the guy phoned today and apologised for the low valuation on Tuesday ......He said he was gobsmacked at the prices of scooters these days!!! anyhoo they have offered me £900 plus my scooter so happy enough with that

No need to apologise if that's what it said in the Glass's guide :? ...........looking for a smiley with a long extending nose.

Sounds like a fair offer as, like you say, you get to keep the engine which is worth a fair bit and the other bits will certainly be worth something.

Only damage is to the mudguard , rhs panel trim and brake lever. .....no damage to frame or forks so will be (hopefully) a straightforward repair job

I was running tubed tyres at the time but plan to upgrade to tubeless from now on.....and yes I will notify the insurance company lol
