On the slightly cheaper side of things,i converted a mates Li 125 series 2 to standard TV 175 spec and it ran and performed beautifully with only a few changes.
An original TV175 barrel was sourced locally (lucky lucky it came with a cylinder head and inlet manifold),and honed out to the correct clearance for a '175' 62mm conversion piston,as the 'bottom end' (crank/bearings/seals etc...) were in decent condition, they were left untouched.A tidy used 20mm carb was obtained, and jetted as a standard TV 175,and a 17 tooth front sprocket was fitted to raise the gear ratio up to near the original TV spec. The standard exhaust pipe was fitted and off he went, smooth as silk, top speed is around 60mph,cruises effortlessly at around 50-55mph,and no issues with reliability etc as yet!
Total cost for parts was around £150 (scooter forums/ebay/local scooterists)
