I think it was at 3 sisters I watched someone crash trying to turn the choke on mid sieze just the other side of the threepenny bit in the 80's. Good idea but maybe a bit late on the execution!

So what's the difference between the road and race version, and what issues is it (the race version) designed to improve?

Road version is adjustable by the user..you dont need loads of jets..its adjustable by the rider once panel has been removed..so yer on a rally, egt climbing for some reason , you can just enrichen the powerjet to keep it safe. Great idea.

Yes Tony, please tell us more.. I have my ideas about this setup and how Charlie has applied it to the scooter... possibly two stage the first setting is to run as is for normal running... the second stage then enrichen's the A/F ratio if needed as the heat builds up during a race, this through a low power solinoid switch.... maybe..??
So what I think it does, is it acts as a powerjet as normal... but can be richened at race speeds by the flick of a switch so it dosnt turn the powerjet on but allows more fuel to flow through it if needed as I said .... Maybe..??
But however its being used its been very cleaverly adapted...

Cambridge advertised it in June's SCOOTERING (pg.67), but don't see anything on their website.
A few American products out there though doing similar things................
