so fitted new bit of tube, only packing the last bit as per lofty's advice, it's fine, revs away and is [almost] back to its former self. just need to dial the carb in now as I have been playing with it to compensate for the broken exhaust.
thanks for advice on here,
lofty ~ cheers for remembering taking yours apart years ago and putting up the pic. :D

GOOD NEWS FOR MIKECK FANS

eric jack co owner mikeck now called alleck
eric emailed me last night hes got a few bits a peices left in his work shop that he might finish off

Hi Mick,
Just to let you know i am still living, Got 1 T5 MK.3 exhaust left,
just about to put it on EBay. Got a number of exhausts for lambretta of
various types fof normal barrel and some for TS1 type mountings. (some
developement proto-types never been tried but will work of some way or
the other, putting the power down in different ranges. I do not have
any forward type smallframe vespas, as the ones we made in the past
were actually jigged off a full upside down scooter. Thanks for asking
about my new job, Ihave been there now for 12 months at the end of
August. (Time flies in) I am putting together some more T5/PX
125/150/185 that will be finished in the next few months or so. I am
not sure what to make them for as there are not to many T5's around any
more. Sorry for the delay in replying as i have been very busy at work
mate. Hope you are well will mail again.
Regards Eric Jack
