Hi Nik, mine is now on the road! Finally. Riding it i do not think a shorter fourth will make much difference, plenty of torque and the hardest thing is holding it back. It just wants to go. Very pleased, easy around town and it climbs through the revs without effort on open road. No leaks from sip 3mm float bowl extension, so far so good. How are you getting on Nik?
Cheers

That is great to hear! My beast is going great aswell still doing some fine tuning and I am waiting for some pinasco clutch springs and base gaskets bottom 1mm and head 0.5mm. Still thinking about which exhaust system to get? Have any ideas? All the best ride safe!

I have a Micron on mine, thinking of chopping up a spotless Mikeck i have hanging in the shed. Shortening main section. Good news your on it too. Mine is so rideable around town but gets going on the open road. Perfect! You gonna play with barrel height then? Mine vibrates a bit at around 3k to 4.5k rpm then is smooth. My gearing is a tad low, gonna change the 20T clutch primary to a 21T i have. Should give me 10Mph to 1K Rpm. Keep me updated Nik, i'll stay in touch with progress. Our engines are similar. Cheers!

Heard good things about MBgm big box AND SiP Road2 pipe. I hate the look of standardish box pipes. Rather chop up an expansion pipe.

My polini exhaust is good for high revs but has no power in the low end, I to don't like the look of standard exhausts. I have vibrations I think around the same ram's... My gearing is a 24tooth clutch and topped out at 125-130km/h and I think I'll do more with a better exhaust. I put a 1.5mm head gasket thinking it would give me more torque and low end power but it actually just slows me down in the top end so I'm putting 1mm in the Base and 0.5mm the head. Keep in touch it is good to compare with a similar engine setup
all the best, cheers!!

Hi Nik, mine too is the old version Malossi. I had a problem with my engine a few days ago. I refuelled at a Shell garage and instantly my engine was ticking over higher. Tickover continued to climb and i stopped and removed the head, let it cool right down then limped home. I did a full engine leak down test. No leaks, restrobed my timing and replaced the B8 plug with a B9. I also added some octane stabiliser to my fuel, started it and the tick over was a little high still, ran it for a while and tickover returned to normal. Test ride tomorrow evening. Fuel problem almost certainly, proof in the pudding tomorrow. I trust yours is running ok still? Cheers
