Yes. If the ride/engine height is to high, change the distance bolt to a 35mm. It shouldn't interfere to much with your carb. Your whole engine acts like a shock as the main engine bolt is more like a pivot bolt, if you know what I mean. I would put a better rear shock on, BGM, YSS, Bitubo or Malossi, one they look better and two there stronger. Can you post a picture of the clearance you have around the carb box.
You should also be able to move your engine very slightly to the right and insert a washer between the frame and engine, this will allow more room around the carb box.
