I have a spare Suzuki piston in the workshop. I have oversizes as well.
That 240 won't get built at this rate, will it?

I do understand the Abarth bit mate. But it still looks a bit er....silly to me. Anyway everyone else seems to like it so it must be me.
The rest is lovely btw. Maybe a electric controlled boot would have been the answer.. it would open when you reach 80 or something like a 911.

It depends. We never got the 500 here in Spain, and we still did Abarth 600, which is the one that kicks in best. I went to Monza once on my J50 (yes, it took me two and a half hours to get up there from the South of Milan, I got there so cold I got a fever :barfy: :barfy: ) and there was a meet up of 500 abarth. The best one was one themed like the General Lee

You see why I wanted it for the theme for the scooter now, don't you? You have to have a sense of humour to own one, much like a scooter.
Martin, you need the fluting on the boot lid as per original!
As if there wasn't enough to do......

Martin, is it an SII casing with SIII side casing?

No, it is an Italian Li casing with an Italian GP side-casing. I saw the GP side casing at Kettering and asked to buy it. The guy said he would only sell it with the Li casing as a pair. I didn't need the Li casing, even though it was perfect, but when he said £25 for the pair, I didn't need to think again.
