I would also advise people look at the LML 4T. I had a LML a few years ago and the build quality was 100% better than any Vespa PX I have had and the reed valve engine is brilliant. I personally have not had a shot on the 4T, but I have not heard a bad word about them and the cost and running cost makes them defiantly worth a look. I know some folk give them a hard time, but if I was given the choice of a new PX or a LML, I would take the LML.

personally, If I was in the market for a new P-range style scooter, I"d buy the LML reedvalve engined 125 and get a good kit for it. I"d also replace all the bearings /seals and gaskets in the engine, as ive worked on enough to know they are of dubious quality. the chassis on the other hand is very good, good paint, thicker metal, and good welding. plus the backrack and spare wheel, and good choice of colours. the scomadi? its ok I suppose, I cant see me getting one, me mates would take the p155.

whats annoyed me about all scooters no matter the manufacturer, is the lights & indicators. both Vespa & Lambretta have had countless opportunities to get this right and even now with modern technology, they still get it massively wrong. I know the scomadi is not either, but the indicators are just an after thought and for this reason it will put the mass market off and won't buy it. they will look at it and won't be able to put there finger on it but there is something wrong and there gut feeling is no.
Like the Vespa 946 & Primavera, I like them both, but would I fork out the money they are asking, no. There is something thats just not right about both scooters and thats in the details. Vespa GS150 and the GL, Rally in that order are my favourite scooters, but the tail lights are ok and for more than 40 years they have never been beaten in design.
LML have come up with a 4T engine in a PX frame and if they get there act together and come up with something like the GS150 frame, side panels & headset they will win hands down.
Ok its easy to sit on the sofa and criticise, but please scomadi, the indicators are fcking awful

I think it looks nice. As with any type of scooter it's marmite. Love or hate it, need to make sure the speedos work.

When you think of the money piaggio have had to play with and how far away from the original the modern vespa is I think the Scomadi is a truely amazing modern reproduction of a classic. Indicators are an evil necessity and I think they have been worked into the design cleverly and subtly even the new mini is million miles away from the original due to new laws and needs of the public but the Scomadi is so close most none experts would struggle to tell the difference. I won't be rushing to by one as I need my fix of eau d'2stoke but it is one hell of a sexy modern scooter that I think will fly out of the door I would happily sit any of the kids on one. Well done to all concerned and I hope the time effort and expense in getting this far is soon returned.
What I am excited about is the possibility of upgrades that will fit my DL such as lighting, forks, suspension, instruments etc

Is the panel work painted, or just coloured plastic?
