Hi guys. Just an update as regards to what we found. Found the piston to be marked on the exhause side quite a heavy mark on it and also the oposite side of the piston and the barell was heavily polished were it had been picking up. The guy at scooter hub checked the ring gaps they were ok but a bit sticky in the piston grooves and also clearances between the barell and piston it s self was tighter than what he would have done on a rebore. Looks like it has had a few heat seizures before I bought it. So we went and fitted a standard italian new 150 cc barrel and piston. Now to run it in. Any comments on running in a top end are welcome. Been told 250 - 300 miles should be satisfactory.

Almost sounds like it was put together dirty or sucked some grime in along the way.
