I'd of thought if it was over stressed when fitted. Surely the studs in the casing would of gone 1st. I'm no expert, but I'd say a mild steel pipe that's reinforced in certain places is going to be stronger than studs in 40 year old aluminium. The guy posts on here for advice and gets ripped to bits every time. No wonder he's lost his love for scooters.

As said I've had other people contact me through facebook who have stated I'm not the only person who has had this issue maybe there's hasn't gone in two places but deff the rear end can support bracket has snapped . I'm wondering if stainless steel isn't strong where weld joints are ?
