A bit of mild panic this weekend when I thought the carb was going to foul the toolbox, however, I was just being daft. It doesn't

Anyway, by way of update, I've set the reverse pull with a longish cable (it's the thicker Scooter Restorations front cable) to allow easy wheel changing. Whether this will have a slightly adverse effect on braking, I'll have to wait and see.



Carb filter wise, I'm trying one of the MB ones. The Gran turismo manifold is slightly downdraught which, as you can just about see, means the filter presses against the panel at the bottom but not at the top. The remedy to this is to stick the filter on the panel. This is not what I wanted as it then makes the filter a bit of a pain to clean but I'll be very interested to see whether this works well. Or not

You've got plenty of room for a bellows and a remote there Paul, I went that way with the TS1 and it fits a treat under the LiS panel, runs a treat too now

How does it attach to the carb as a matter of interest

The bellmouth on a PHBH has a bit of a lip on it. The hole of the filter is a bit smaller diameter that the external diameter of the bellmouth, and so, it stretches over it and the lip keeps it in place.

Glued to the panel will, in my case, result in the bottom of the bellmouth sitting comfortably inside the filter and the top just sitting inside.
